RVFC and COVID-19
Wed. Apr 1st 2020

As with many aspects of everyone's daily life, the COVID-19 Pandemic has brought some changes to operations at our department. Please note the following:

  • Our station is currently accessible to members only. With the exception of an emergency situation, the general public will not be allowed entrance for tours, use of the community room, etc. until further notice.
  • Additional personal protective equipment is currently in use. Gowns, masks, and eye shields will be used when appropriate to provide protection to the citizens we serve as well as our EMS providers. Patient contact will be limited to the minimum number of fire and rescue personnel that can appropriately handle the situation.
  • Many departments are currently in need of personnel protective equipment and decontamination supplies. Any donation of the following supplies to our department or your local department would be greatly appreciated: N95 or surgical masks, safety goggles or face shields, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer (70% or greater alcohol), gowns or Tyvek suits.
Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly, practice social distancing as much as possible, and contact your healthcare provider if you experience symptoms related to COVID-19. The links below are provided for your convenience. Thanks!
